Kalanidhi Musical Futures

Milapfest is a charitable trust that works to change people’s lives through inspirational performances, arts education and by supporting the careers of young artists, especially through membership of Samyo and Tarang.

Supporting the new generation of musical talent
Samyo is the National Youth Orchestra for Indian Music. It is a unique phenomenon, as it is the only youth orchestra of its kind in the world, combining both North and South Indian music traditions with contemporary orchestral elements, and to showcase brand new compositions, written by some of the world’s finest musicians.

Supporting our next generation of “maestros in the making”
Tarang is the UK’s National Ensemble for Indian Music, for young up and coming performers from the Hindustani (North Indian) or Carnatic (South Indian) music traditions. Tarang was created by Milapfest to showcase and develop young musicians on the cusp of professional careers.
