Milapfest’s 2016 season continues with the focus on Women in Indian Music celebrating the achievements of some of the best artists of the world. The Bansuri, or bamboo flute, is performed by the accomplished and versatile artist Stephanie Bosch, who plays in the style made famous by her Guru Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. Originally a baroque flute performer, Stephanie fell in love with Indian classical music and uses her dual experiences to balance between cultures, with beautiful lyrical interpretations and improvisations in the genre.
