Indian rhythms are exciting, melodious and have a language of their own. In this session, led by one of SAMYO’s world-renowned Indian percussionists, you will have the chance to try out Indian drums and rhythm patterns and explore the language of Indian percussion.

You will hear a live demonstration by musicians from the South Asian Music Youth Orchestra (SAMYO), before trying out some patterns and instruments for yourself. Bring your own instrument, or try out the tabla or mridangam during the session.

These sessions are for school and community groups. Please e-mail Alexandra@mfy.org.uk to book your place.

Do you have two tickets for this event still? We are looking to develop South Indian Music in our hub and would love to see this in action.
