Renowned as an Indian musician of the highest order, Ameen Ali Khan is a sarod artist celebrated across the continents. In this extraordinary performance, he brings his signature vibrant style to the stage alongside percussion master, Kousic Sen.
Ameen Ali Khan belongs to the seventh generation of a musical family. His passionate and moving playing is known for its aesthetic purity and tradition. He has toured extensively across India and beyond, delighting audiences with his unique virtuosity. Ameen’s mastery of the sarod, one of the most popular instruments from the Hindustani tradition of classical Indian music, has received international praise, with the Hindustani Times calling him “the most promising Sarod player in the country”.
Joining Ameen is Music for the Mind and Soul favourite, tabla maestro, Kousic Sen. The deep, introspective sound of the sarod is given a unique percussive heartbeat from the master drummer from Kolkata in this rich and soulful concert combination.
